The best Crispy crumbed Chicken.
I am actually really happy to have had Zulfa Hendricks ask me for this recipe. The last post was me thanking you all for reading and spreading the love. I have gotten so caught up in doing these events I have miss placed my head. So thank you Zulfa for finding it for me hehehe.
So the most crunchiest chicken ever is a few simple steps away. The dishes/washing up of this recipe, not so cool, however I have tried to minimalize as much as possible. It makes up for it in the way it tastes and is perfect for those summer days, when you want something light, or needing to pack a picnic basket.
You need:
- 1 kg Chicken fillets or pieces its what you prefer
- 2 eggs
- tot of milk
- 100ml flour
- 3 tblspoon chicken spice
- lemon half juiced
- garlic
- seasoning
- corn flakes crushed or blended
- oil for frying
Method
- In a bowl season your chicken, add spice, garlic and massage till evenly covered.
- In another bowl whisk eggs and a tot of milk
- Then in your first bowl, throw flour and make sure it coats your chicken nicely. don’t have it standing to long as it will get all sticky and moist. Then dip the floured chicken in the egg wash and into the corn flakes. Make sure it is beautifully coated and that the corn flakes gets into all the grooves.
- Heat your oil medium to high. Only add your chicken when it Is HOT! Fry for about 3-4 minutes. Strain and place on paper towel.
- Serve as a snack, in a wrap or with sides. Your choice, there are endless possibilities with this really cool chow. I buy fillets slice then crumb, freeze and fry when I need them, saving me a huge amount of time and quite a penny not buying it from the butcher, and the benefit is I know I am eating chicken, lord knows what potentially could be put inside for others to make more money.
- Change it up by adding herbs or seeds to your crumbs.
Don’t forget the best ingredient is that love, only you can provide!
Bon Appetite.
