“A good breakfast leads to better health, lowered levels of cholesterol, lowered chances of diabetes, heart disease and being over weight. Leaving you with better memory and concentration.”
After hearing that, I’m pretty sure you all want to wake up earlier to enjoy a good breakfast right?
Hmmm not so much, reality is most of us are “too tired” and would prefer sleeping an extra ten minutes then waking up to eat. But there’s simple solutions.
Breakfast jumps starts your day, providing you with a boost of energy as it replenishes your body with vitamins and minerals that you lose while you sleep.
The minute you wake up your body starts to crave food to replaced what it has lost during your sleep. And in short if you don’t eat your body starts to eat itself. Crazy right?
What I found very interesting was that your energy levels is highest in the morning, and if you don’t feed it, your energy will stay low and you will feel tired and lethargic for the rest of the day. Maybe even so accustomed to feeling that way, one doesn’t even notice.
So here’s my suggestions:
Fruits and nuts provide a great source of energy, proteins and minerals, try always having fruit at hand. Dried fruit are also good to grab and go.
Granola Bars are also a really good way of getting a healthy breakfast. See my recipe if that’s your thing.
Toast is a good way too, or even scrambling two eggs.
Having breakfast in the morning can only positively affect your life.
Take the time out, sit and relax while refueling your body so you can be who your meant to be!
Make this a habit people, so we can all live a happy, healthy, long life.
